The post holder will need a wide blend of skills and expertise including a background in estates, facilities, health & safety, contract and risk management to enable them to effectively manage these areas. Strong budget management and best value procurement experience will be key to the role.
In addition, they will also need expertise and understanding of a project management
You will be a progressive leader of people, understanding how to get the best from your team and to promote a strong performance focused team.
A further key component of the role will be to oversee and manage business continuity, property risk, security and insurance policies.
You will naturally have strong senior engagement and relationship building qualities where you enjoy developing meaningful relationships at a senior and executive level.
You must hold a relevant professional qualification in a buildings or facilities management discipline with excellent knowledge of current health and safety legislation. You will have the ability to demonstrate a successful record of managing estates, facilities and health and safety, coupled with experience of contractor management and contract negotiations, including contracted out negotiations.
